Focusing on your Health, Wealth and Wellbeing
Join in as host Meko L. Lawson and our special guests discuss powerful tips and tools for THRIVING during disruption.
What do you do when you are blindsided? How do you respond when your plans are delayed or derailed.
This week we will hear from Erika Cherry, MS, LMH who will help us shift our mindset and adjust how we show up when we are blindsided.
About the Speaker
Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Arkansas native, Erika Cherry, began her career path with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Central Arkansas. Understanding the importance of mental health work, she continued her education at the same university obtaining a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology.
Her early career endeavors included meeting the mental health needs of children, adolescents, and families in community, school-based, or juvenile detention settings. Erika furthered her clinical experience as a master level psychological examiner with services provided within the Arkansas Department of Corrections - Varner Prison Unit, Gould, AR.
Relocating to Seattle, WA in 2014 began to alter the trajectory of Erika’s professional path. Although she remained true to a desire to be an advocate for mental health, the combination of clinical experience in Washington State and her own life’s transitions led her to expand her perspective and therapeutic approach from a singular focus on emotional wellbeing to a multi-dimensional focus on wellness.
In 2018, Erika launched her private practice, Awaken Wellness, PLLC, through which she helps clients build awareness and understanding of how the interconnectedness of multiple dimensions of wellness can positively or negatively impact the overall picture of health.
Outside of time with her clients, Erika enjoys journaling, and creating space to mindfully enjoy her relationships with family and friends.
